I’m Desirae Chalmers — but most people just call me Des. I’m your Divorce Bestie: the person who’s been right where you are, felt the overwhelm, the confusion, the heartbreak, and the fear of what comes next.  

Before this work, I was a business owner and tax consultant with degrees in Business, Accounting, and Tax Law — so I speak both strategy and real-life financial reality. But my most important education came from lived experience.

I’ve sat in the sadness, cried over an uncertain future, felt outraged and misunderstood, and most of all — felt lost. Divorce can turn your life upside down, and it can feel impossible to know what to do next. That’s why I created My Divorce Bestie: to help you bring order to the chaos, turn overwhelm into a path you can follow, and walk with you every step of the way — even when there are detours.  

I am not an attorney, CPA, therapist, or financial advisor — and I don’t replace those licensed professionals. What I am is your Concierge Divorce Consultant: the steady, non‑judgmental partner who helps you plan your next move, communicate clearly, and protect your peace while others do their job.
